Makeover

I decided with my time off of work last week that I would paint our master bathroom and it turned out great! I am so happy with it. I have been wanting to do it for about a year and finally decided to just do it! It took awhile to get it taped off but after that it went pretty fast.

A very Merry Christmas!

It was a wonderful Christmas! I was wondering what was going to happen because on Tuesday night I got home from work and Carson started throwing up and he was real sick for that night so I was thinking Wade and I were possibly going to be sick for Christmas but luckily we were not!!! On Christmas Eve we went to Hugh and Jerries house (Wades Dad) which we do every year and it was a lot of fun like it is every year! We love spending time with them, the kids were darling and had a ball and we ate lots and lots of yummy food!! Christmas day was great, Carson had a great time and got he wished for and more! we spent the day at his grandmas and then the day after Christmas my wonderful parents came up and stayed the night, It was a great Christmas and I am very grateful for the family I was surrounded by.

Christmas Party!

We had our Ahlmer family party last night, we had a BLAST! We ate lots of yummy food and then my Dad read the Nativity while the kids put the scene together with the figurines, it was way cute. Then they got to open their presents, it was a lot of fun. I just have the best family....first of all they are hilarious, My brothers give me a hard time pretty much constantly but I still love them. My nieces and nephews are the sweetest. Carson just loves all of them and loves to be around little Jake. I am thankful for all of them, it just would not be the holidays without all of them to share it with, I am very blessed.

Gingerbread House!

Carson has been begging me to do a Gingerbread house, everytime we see one in the store he asks to do one so we did it! Last year we did one and it was very stressful cause it kept caving in on us and I made Wade hold it all together for like 45 minutes. This year I just used the trusty glue gun and it worked like a charm, thanks for the tip Maegan! It was fun though, we put on our jammies and put on the chirstmas music and decorated the house. Carson had a ball and ate about half the decorations, oh well, to be a kid again!

Tis the Season

I have to say we have been having a lot of fun this holiday season. First of all last week was our 10 year wedding anniversary.....that's right 10 YEARS, Wade is one lucky bugger!!! We stayed at the anniversary inn on the 9th and then the next day spent the day down at my parents who watched Carson for us, they are the best parents ever! Then on Friday last week Wade and Carson and I went down to Salt lake with my parents and saw the lights at Temple square and went to Crown Burger, cause you just can't go to Salt Lake without having a cheeseburger at the Crown. We stayed over night at the Marriott, my Mom had to work the next day so unfortunately they could not stay over but we had a blast, we went swimming, Carson loved that of course and then watched all the ice skaters from our hotel room, it was so much fun. Saturday we woke up to a major snow storm, we braved it and went over to the gateway to shop, it was very snowy and wet and kinda put me in a bad mood. Wade had to cover a game in Provo so Carson and I rode the train back to Ogden, the train was a fun experience, probably a lot more fun for Carson, but oh well, the things you do for your kids! I have enjoyed this holiday season a lot, I have so much to be thankful for, my husband, my wonderful son and both of our families. I love and appreciate them all so much words can't describe how much I care for them. Here are some pictures of the past little while...enjoy!

Countdown to Christmas!

Well I received my first Christmas gift on Friday!! I am one lucky girl! I was at work discussing with Valori and Evan that I would be going to Salt Lake for the weekend and my fabulous boss decided to give me my Christmas present early! I was so excited to get a new camera, my old one sorta got broken so I have not been able to take pictures for a month or so and I've been really bummed about it. But then wallah a new camera! It is the sweetest thing you have ever seen I seriously am having a love affair with it. I have taken a million pictures over the weekend, I will post them tomorrow when I have a little more blogging time! So thanks LeFevre, YOU ROCK!

So Lucky

So I just have to say, last night was so much fun for me! I have the greatest mom in the whole wide world. Carson, Wade and my Dad went and saw Carrie Underwood in concert so me and my mom decided we would have a girls night so we went to dinner at The Greenery and looked around the cute shop there and then I know this sounds lame, but we went and looked around Wal-Mart cause we are nerds but it was really fun. Then we went and got a new book at Hastings and went home. While we were home I decided to pop in some home videos and they were so funny. It brought back a lot of great memories I have as a kid. Christmas was always so much fun, my parents made it so special for us every year and it was just a blast. We all looked so nerdy and our hair was crazy and our clothes were so 80's, it was hilarious! But I do have great parents and feel very blessed to have them, they would drop whatever they are doing and help and have done that a million times, plus they are so great to Carson, it makes me feel SO LUCKY!

Cuties

Carson went over to Landrys house yesterday to play. Maegan said they were taking turns being Santa and then sitting on each other laps and saying what they want for Christmas. They are such cute friends, I am just so grateful they have each other. Landry is the sweetest girl I have ever met, she is just adorable! Don't you just love the one stocking on Carson's foot, hee hee.

On the mend

Well last week was not my best week. I had surgery last Tuesday to remove a cyst that had been giving me trouble for awhile, I went down to Ogden and Dr. Beier removed it and it was bigger than he had anticipated so it's good I had it done. I was pretty sore for a few days but now I am feeling tons better. I hate coming out of anesthesia, I guess I was pretty rude to the nurse and told her she talks like Barack Obama, oopsy. So I will be a better blogger now that I am feeling better.

Finally

Well Halloween is finally over, kinda glad I'm not going to lie! I was just getting kinda sick of seeing ghouls and talking about getting candy, but it was fun none the less. Carson had a ball and that is all that matters, Halloween as a kid was the best! We had a fun day, I only had to work for half a day, when I got off work we had parent teacher conference which was adorable, Carson is right where he should be so that made feel proud. He was very excited to show us around his classroom and all the fun things he has been doing, he loves Miss Purser. After that we went and got his costume on and went up and down mainstreet with Nicolas and Natalie and then he took a break at home while I made chicken noodle soup and pumpkin bars for our party we had that night at Meagans house. At about 6:00 we headed out trick or treating with Nicolas and Landry and they had a blast running house to house, they lasted for about an hour and a half and then off to Meagans for lots of yummy soups and treats with all our neighbors. It was a great Halloween and even greater to take down all the decorations then next morning!

Corn Maze

On Tuesday night, Wade, Carson and I went to the corn maze at the Heritage Center with Jeff and Meagan and Landry. It was so much fun, the kids had such a good time, I did not take my camera but Jeff of course did so I will get some pictures from him and post them later. It took us a little over an hour to go through the corn maze and it was my first experience, I was expecting it to be kinda lame but it wasn't, it was kinda cool to make your way through it, the kids got a little scared at times, it was way dark but they had a good time. They had these hay bales stacked up and a ton of hay at the bottom so you could jump into it, well I jumped and totally twisted my ankle, it swelled up and the whole bit, that'll teach me to think I am 5 years old! They even had a BB gun and Carson hit the target first time and did not shoot his eye out so that was good!
Thanks Jeff, Maegan and Landry for going with us and for being such great friends.

Halloween Party

Yesterday we had a Halloween Party and Grandma Jerrie and Papa Hughs house, it was a lot of fun, it was mainly for the kids but Charisse and I stuck around and played also, too cute watching them all. They had a blast, they all wore their costumes of course and Carson was so excited to show off his scary costume, he thought for sure he would send them all away screaming!! As you can see in her house, she kinda LOVES Halloween, she goes all out, her dining room table does not get any use for a few months cause it is sorta occupied. She is hilarious when it comes to Halloween, not one room in the house goes untouched, CRAZY!

Libby as a crossword Puzzle!!

Charisse was so cute, she got these coffins and put chips and peices of bones in them and they had dip to go with it, so creative!

Now for Jerries house!

I am just not ready for it to turn cold, Carson just learned to ride his bike and he loves it so much and now we have to put 800 layers on to go outside, it stinks. But oh well, spring will come again.....not fast enough. Look at me whine, it is only October, my attitude better change fast or I am in big trouble....maybe we should take up a winter sport.....nah!

The Big 30!!!

OK now you can read this but warning to all.....you might get super jealous! I have got a fantastic husband who spoiled me rotten for two straight days and I have to say.....it was great! So on Tuesday I only worked a half day and when I got home Wade and I left for Salt Lake, I had no idea what we were doing so I just went along with it. So we drove up to the Marriott which was so pretty and when we got in the elevator we had to put our room key in the slot to push the level our room was on so right then I new it was going to be awesome. So we get to the room and it was like a freakin house it was so huge, had a kitchen and living room and the bedroom and bathroom were huge, my favorite part of the room was the be day (spelling?) just the fact that it was in the bathroom was hilarious to me, yet so awesome! So then we went and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse, which I have to say was amazing, I ate so much I thought I'd die. Then I went and got a pedicure from some Chinese chicks at some nail salon and they were speaking Chinese the whole time and I thought Wade and I were going to laugh our guts out, she did such a good job though, my toes are super cute, I tried to take a picture but it didn't turn out. Then after that we went to see Weezer and Angels and Airways in concert at the E Center and it ROCKED! They put on the best show. SOOOO GOOD! So on my official birthday (yesterday) I woke up and we didn't have to check out until 12:00 so we ordered breakfast and sat in our lap of luxury and ate breakfast I felt like pretty woman when she sits down in her soft bath robe and eats fantastic food, then I filled up my swimming pool-bath tub and read my book for an hour and a half and thought I died and gone to heaven. So after total euphoria I got ready and went to my all time favorite spot in the world......NORDSTROM! and shopped and shopped it was unreal. These might be my favorite shoes ever. So after the shopping excursion we got home and went and had some dinner with my Mom and Dad who are seriously the BEST parents a person could ask for. They stayed with Carson and took care of him and they would do anything for us and I just love them to pieces. After we got home from dinner I walked up the stairs to my living room and my house was full of all my cute neighbors! It was a surprise even though I suspected something was going on cause Wade was acting kinda funny but he got me, I didn't know. It was so fun to visit with them and Steve and Megan came over later on and we got to spend time with them and their darling kids. So Thanks Wade for being awesome and making 30 not sting so bad, in fact it didn't sting one bit, it felt amazing to be spoiled rotten, it was out of control. I just look forward to 31 now, how on earth are you going to beat that! Oh and the cutest part....Carson colored me the sweetest pictures to hang on the fridge, I just love him and I missed him so much when we were gone, it was fun to come home and just squeeze him!
